Looks good, what a improvement. It's always fun to see the b-4 and afters.:)

Thanks! I would have posted the 'before' picture sooner if I had found it sooner :p Just found it today when I was going through my photo's ;)

Right. A new addition!

And it is......

A printer! Haha. Just bought the Canon Pixma MP640. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great printer. The print quality is really good! I've got it set up over the wireless network, so the macbook and my windows 7 system can print without having to plug in a cable. :D

I will receive my new fans, fancontroller, arctic MX-3, arcticlean, air duster and my extra hard drive either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Once I've finished installing everything I will post an update for you guys.

So here's the update I promised you guys.

I took the pictures with a not so great camera lol.

My Spinpoint F3 1TB drives are running in RAID0 now. I ran HDtune for you guys. Here's the results.

HD Tune: Intel Raid 0 Volume Benchmark

Transfer Rate Minimum : 35.5 MB/sec

Transfer Rate Maximum : 276.7 MB/sec

Transfer Rate Average : 210.0 MB/sec

Access Time : 11.4 ms

Burst Rate : 1194.8 MB/sec

CPU Usage : -1.0%

I'm really pleased with the performance. Everything is quicker!

The fan controller is doing it's job really well! It feels solid, too.

One thing I'm not too happy about is the fact that I can't replace the Antec BigBoy 200mm top fan since it uses an entirely different mounting system than the xigmatek one.

Right guys I'm selling my 5770 Vapor-X (no not on here, shipping locally only sorry

) and I'm probably going to get a PNY GTX 460 since that is one of the cheapest 460's available right now. Will post an update if I get some spanking new hardware!

Right guys, just received my new graphics card: the Asus GTX470!
biggrin.gif

Have to say it looks really nice. I didn't get a Mafia II code though, which I should have gotten, so I sent the store an email demanding a code haha

Pictures!

Sorry for the quality lads, my camera is rubbish

Couldn't be bothered with cable management when installing it so yeah xD

It's running an overclock of 700/1400/1750 using 1050mV at the moment, and the temps during gaming dont go above 70C. Furmark pushes it to 75C and OCCT Gpu test pushes it to 85C. It's as far as I'm going to go using stock cooling.

the card cost me €215 (about 185 pounds) including shipping. I was supposed to get Mafia 2 with it but they didn't include it -.-

Sent the store an email asking for a code, but don't think they'll send me one. Oh well.

I'm happy with the card. I'll run Vantage when I get home. Unfortunately I didn't run Vantage with my 5770 so I can't compare it to that.

Yeah good price that. I mean darn, that's actually cheaper than a 1gb 460 in most cases. And even in the stock housing and fan it'll do a 460 easily.

As for Vantage? the 470 will utterly wipe the floor with a 5770. It's not even worth bothering with. Simply Vantage the 470 and cut the score by about 50%.

The performance is brilliant indeed. I wish I had an aftermarket cooler to slap on it so I could clock it even further. My card seems to be a pretty good clocker. I mean, some reviewers needed 1100 mV to get to the same clocks. I hope to put a Zalman VF3000F or an Accelero Xtreme Plus on it next month
