Khronos has announced their Virtual Reality Standard Initiative, which will be the companies attempt to produce an API that can be targeted by the drivers from all vendors, unifying the VR ecosystem.

Best way to drive innovative ideas and solutions is to have multiple companies get together and work towards getting a standard everyone can follow and use as a base, for obvious financial reasons and more importantly, better integration/products which in the end will drive consumption.

Glad to see everyone is on board here. Hopefully it works out, Vulkan is taking to long. This cannot end up like that at all for VR to work
