The last KFA2 HOF card was the best of the GTX980 crowd. Does the Ti model carry on the good work?

A 22-page review! Nothing like taking the time to do it right!
Thanks for the read. This is indeed a good GPU.

While the GPU is great and needs a gold award itself, that is no reason to give all that boards using this GPU a gold award.

Those could be saved for the boards with exceptional cooling, noise levels or build quality. Or something else that makes them above the rest.

Giving everyone Gold makes it a bit pointless - even if all the boards provide awesome FPS.

Well, in my opinion at least.

Thanks for the detailed review.

Thanks for review

Thanks for the review.

I am considering purchasing a 980ti and this fella is on my shortlist. So the review is well-timed for me.

Thanks again. :pleased1:

And where do you stop/start? The gold award is given to any product that is worthy of it. You can't say a product can't have the award it deserves because 5 other products are based on the same base hardware already have that award. What happens then is you are devaluing a product due to it being as good but not better than a rival product, which in turn is made to look better because a review sample was sent earlier than the others. It's like suggesting that in the next Olympic Games, gold medals are only given if they beat a previous Olympic record as too many athletes have gold medals.

I'd suggest to 'stop' when all cards get gold at the very latest :-)

Giving gold to all, devaluates the 'gold' award. That is why i suggest giving Gold to the GPU itself, and then only to cards that excel compared to other cards based on the same GPU.

That way, it will be clear to all that everything with the GPU will be 'very good' and on top of that, the Gold will point to the best of these cards.

I guess if it was up to me, I'd try to aim for not giving more than 2-3 cards using any given GPU the Gold sticker.
