Just some thoughts...

OK, First of all I am sorry that I may post in the wrong section.

Please, no hate at all... We want a peace world and also a peace discussion. I'm here

I'm talking about my posts in this thread: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=46903

Seems like every time I showed there with a critic, they delete my post without a professional reason. My arguments were all facts without any makeups and I have a good reason for that argument. Which is to improve this site!

I was just making a critic and hate is all around me, for no professional reason!

Can someone answer professionally? I am really confused?

PS. I don't care if this thread is deleted or whatsoever for an unprofessional reason or even without any explanation on what the reasons are! I am just asking you guys? My language last time is maybe pretty rude, apologize that. I will try to improve that of course (I am a non native speaker btw).

Thank you.

One of my posts got deleted too but I could see it may be have been seen as inflammatory or argumentative but no flame or argument was intended.

I think it is just the nature of that thread man. This site is not moderated heavily nor is it prejudice against just you but rather trying to keep the peace on a topic that people seem to speak so passionately about.

I do agree with you however that simply just removing thread without even a notification can seem unprofessional but you got to remember there is just a handful of admins and lots of members and posts each day and these guys do it out of their own free time.

I was an admin for a few forums in the past I said I would never do it again because it simply takes so much time and the reason you joined the site ie looking for or to share information and to makes friends goes out the window.

Also perhaps this thread is in the wrong section.

Kinda sad because I wasn't expecting an answer from the one that suppose to...

I understand your points, but you could note that it was actually suppose to be something that makes this site a better site. I know my language makes it like a heavy argument or even like a flame, but I apologized to them...

I've seen moderators/admins did this, But they deleted Both sides of the argument just to settle down the thread (to make it peaceful of course). And with a good explanation. I wasn't expecting an argument either. Which makes me think that thread/review is somewhat a... Bias.

I find it hard to believe though, but fact says that.

Thanks by the way! Yes I got the feeling that this is in the wrong section in the beginning. I can't really find anywhere else this thread could be the best. Tell me where should it be posted?

Out of topic. How much do you pay monthly to get that internet connection speed?

I wouldn't worry too much about it dude. That thread is a bit of a sensitive topic so admins will be coming down hard on anything that seems like a flame or argumentative they will get rid of it.

I know you may be thinking they are just removing anything that counter argues with their point of view but I think it is just them trying to keep the peace and I wouldn't take it personally.

Also remember that the admins have been overly busy the last few days with the competition which nearly killed the server last night and the amount of posts recently. As I said the admins do this just out of their spare time and do not get paid for it so may not have had the time to post here. Hell this thread is less than 24 hours old and with it being at the same time as the comp I am not sure they have even seen it.

As for where to have posted this maybe site suggestions or rants but not here as this is for components.

Off topic: It is part of a package, we get 100mb internet unlimited, 2 hd tv boxes with all the channels bar the subscription channels ie movies and sports and phone with free local and national calls with 300 international minutes all for 100e a month. So that is quite a good deal.

I don't think they (or any other moderator/admin) should erase something that critics them and/or disagree with them without any professional reason. My posts could be a flame to them, but I didn't it meant to be. Is it nicer if you give a professional answer just to explain why did it get deleted? This plus other minor reasons makes me unable to think that 'it is just them trying to keep the peace' and instead, to think that the review/thread is Biased.

I can understand why this thread haven't been answered yet. But they deleted my post like just a week or a bit more after the review was posted (that's in October, or November(?), it's way back) and I'm still not getting the answer that I wanted!

Thanks again by the way!

Out of Topic: I wish I can get that package man... Yours is faster than mine, I mean much more! Hahaha.

We have been rather busy with the site ownership swap and a number of other things at the moment so you have to give us a little time to see these things(we all have other jobs)

Your posts may have been deleted but im sure this was to simply keep the peace as you were a new member and were coming across as though you were possibly trying to fuel an argument. (just my thoughts)

I dont know who deleted the comments or why but generally if we delete something its to keep the peace and not to make something look bias its not how we do things.

so please don't take it to heart, we have to think about the community as a whole and how smaller things could spiral out of hand and affect the larger picture.

hi

i delete ANY posts that can lead to arguments, before they happen. a sort of pre-emptive strike.

your arguments may have been valid in your eyes, but not in others.

the embedded YT vid was watched fully by myself before i acted. upon watching it all and refreshing the page - i noticed how many dislikes it had within a matter of minutes.

... if your YT thread had so many dislikes, so fast, i did not want the 'possible' haters, that watched the link from here, to get heated.

also, at the time, you had less than 5 posts on the forums.

my job here is to keep the peace.... to police threads.

even, if you had been a member here for years, i would have deleted it.

we have so many spammers here, you would not believe. :(
so many YT 'rant' postees trying to use oc3d, and other forums, to accelerate hit-counts of the own YT vids.

we get complaints about aggressiveness, bad language and general going-against-the-grain of the site.

Its also worth noting if it happens again - you will be removed.

@Fez

As I told you earlier. Is it nicer if you give a professional answer just to explain why did it get deleted? This plus other minor reasons makes me unable to think that 'it is just them trying to keep the peace' and instead, to think that the review/thread is Biased.

Why do I think like this? The review was all of AMD hate, and I want to counter that because that would make the site better and to clear out Bias. And all I get was a deletion.

@dugdiamond

OK you may say that you delete my post. But I didn't see it though. You were talking about YT video which I don't know about at all.

But if you want to delete my post just to keep the peace, I could understand. But, You actually did it on something which I want to give a message to the reviewer to make this site better. If you could give a good answer to my post I would then believe that my deletion of post is just purely because of to stop hates/flames.

I think this is my final point. I would probably not add any other points but instead I will clarify my other points.

I actually want to answer more to your post's points. But it could be hateful because I had to, I am lazy and I am scared this post is going to be deleted again.

Very nice... No response after about a month... Just Shut Up and This site is biased. Thank you for your time.
This site isn't biased. The membership is worldwide and as a community we do everything we can to provide accurate information for the benefit of ourselves and anyone else who visits. That is the entire point of signing up in the first place.

Even if the reviews were biased the community still produces it's own benchmarks and results and I for one do that for the sole purpose of getting the best and the best value. 99% of us are not paid by anyone to say anything so why would we argue against our own self interest?

To be honest most of us have probably had things deleted in our time here (me included I'm sure on several occasions). I just don't take it to heart. Being a member here isn't a human right - it's a privilege which can be taken away or left at any time. If you don't like it then go somewhere else?
