2 day's ago the fan controler went all mad and stoped to do his job on my h80 , the fan's spined to max speed , no led's were on and pressing the profile button did not do anything(same for the keep the profile button for 4 sec to resset firmware), soooo i was like hmm wth to do the cooler work's , sorta, i mean the pump spins the cpu is cool(even more cooler then before since fans were spining like mad), plus i recived the h80 as a gift from some relative from germany, no warranty no nothing , sooo my brain dinged i opend the top of the h80 and just removed the fan controler board solder the molex power imput from the fan controler board directly to the pump board same for the rmp moitor wire.
and quess what the dam cooler work's quite fine , the fan's are conected to 5v and are dead silent , and keep the cpu to a max temp of 58 during prime after like 1 hour(my cpu is a phenom II 965 @ 4ghz)

Now my question is , is it safe to keep it like this until i get some money to get a new good cooler , or to go back to the stock crapy box cooler the cpu came ?

PS: sorry for my bad english , it's not really my main language :P

seikon, welcome to the OC3D forums.
all may not be lost as Corsairs support is pretty top-notch. I had a second-hand
H100 go down on me and I sent it in (my cost) and three-weeks later I had a
replacement sent to me (their cost). sure I had to put an air-cooler on it, but you
might start the RMA process and see what comes of it.. Support Link, just register
as well as you can and start a RMA, they'll contact you and list your options.

no lights and WOT fan could also mean possible no pump (view in BIOS
CPU_FAN_RPM should be 1900-2300rpm) speed, too.

the pump is @ 4200rpm acording to the bios and the cpu doesnt go over 58degres after a hour of prime in bleed test, i will try how u sugested and se how it gows , thanks for the tip :D
