Just ordered Vista Home premium :D

i have 1.75Gb of ram, think it will be enough? or should i go and buy one of those OCZ 4Gb kits?

and if you have vista (i presume) could you post what the theame looks like?

preforably, what i will be faced with after a fresh install?

if its anything like xp

thats right click desktop, properties, then in the first tab, in the little drop down box, clicking presumably somthing like "windows vista"??

then printscreen it for me please? :D

recommended may be one gb, but the os uses 512 of it. So i still would recommend a min of 2gb. But yes 1.75 should do just fine, may be some moments were vista uses %40 of it, but shouldnt happen often, and as for the theme, i would think you would want it to be a suprise :) Aero is rather beutiful if you ask me, i just miss the xp theme at times.

That would be all those programs u listed at the start running ;)

Go for quality not quantity (So yeah get NOD32 instead of AVG) and keep to one firewall, maybe two anti spyware - only one with real time protection)

it does indeed :D

i have vista, installed it

stil managed to screw up the easyest install ever

but its on, and it works, so i'm happy :D

Just to clarify Bogel - you would recommend a min of 2GB, so 4GB would be better you would think and that's what I think BUT I have read recently that Vista 32 bit would not recognize all 4GB....don't have the article to hand but writer had 4GB and Vista 32 only showed 2.75GB. The option was to use 64 bit version....I too would be interested in the practicalities of running the 64 bit version of Vista on a gaming rig

Practicalities: none - totally impracticle as there's little or no 3rd party support for 64bit Vista - no drivers and game support is poor too

That's great - Thanks Kempez - So might as well go for Vista 32 with 2GB of the best I can afford rather that 4GB of the best I can afford....unless anyone who is actually running Vista 32 with 4GB knows differently! :worship:

1.75 gig is fine, i have to have a lot of things open, to use more than 800mb tbh, its quite good

but i only have a vista experience rating of 3.0 with this ACER system :(
