If i plug in my old GPU that works fine too. please help me!

i5 2500k running stock
Corsair dominator platinum 1600
gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 Mobo
new GPU is 7950 club3d
old GPU 6870 toxic

right ok your psu ain't the problem, an your saying it worked fine in you friends pc right

I have tried installing them then putting the card in and i have tried completly uninstalling all of the graphics cards drivers then installing the card and its still the same :(

Dumb question: did you take note of which PCIE cables powered the GPU when you tested this in your friends machine? Maybe one of those is flaky (rare, but possible).

You need the card in to install them.First plug in to Igpu and uninstall all GPU drivers. Next Install the card and plug it in via HDMI. Screen will be all low resolution, but then install new drivers then restart.

sorry i am half asleep at the mo as it is 2am here, i cant think why it wont work for you.am sure you haven't dropped it your powersupply have more than enough juice, your mob isnt the problem as you have tested your old card in it.erm the only thing that is coming to mind is something static has damaged it, but as i said i am tired i have put you on the right path of listing specs along with your problem. someone else on here should be able to help, but i need some sleep pal sorry i couldn't be more use. i will check back in the morning an if you are still having difficulty's i well put my had to it again

ok i have tried that but it still didnt work :(

no I am sure I havnt had any static on it, I was UBER careful of that. I hope someone has a solution for this because i have been needing a new card for months now and now i have one it wont work on my pc :( thanks for trying Tripp!

the computer started but but i still did not get any signal sent to my monitor. I tried with both HDMI and DVI cables but still no signal

Only connect the cables to the GPU after you attempt to restart the system. Other than that leave it connected to the CPU. Should work.

Sounds odd but some people have fixed similar issues with a motherboard bios update......

check what bios version you have and compare it to the most recent,

EDIT:
Just noticed your other thread saying about its the PSU
