surely if no illegal guns were sold, the need for a gun would not be there...i would much rather have a really high powered taser

If no illegal guns were sold, there would be all of the reasons that people currently own guns. Hunting, target shooting, competitve shooting, personal defense.

I like that sword. I think its incredible the way that they are made. Saw a forgery in scotland at work once...

We're trying to protect your right to own a sword, because mr. nathan would rather not see you own one :p

It would look nice on someones wall.

NOTE: Nathan is avoiding all attempts to argue any points in this posting and is attempting to keep on subject. Did i mention it was a nice sword

WOOT I know it's not a real samurai sword that I can go nd own hella ppl with but its a good showpiece and could be used for cutting lemons and stuff pics:
Nice one mate, it has quite a nice ornate tang on it. But, it needs blood gutters to be super mean....very sweet looking imitation though :worship:

I don't think you see the tang thats inside the hilt but I know it's not a top quality sword where I can go around at night brutally murdering people with it lol that's too expnsive. :[ It's just anice show piece and if anyone every

es me off, they'll be greeted to my sword kekeke.(jk) But it'll be sufficient for lemon chopping wOOt lol!

Im not a great fan of guns tbh, in the war zone all it takes is a little bit of training (or stupidity) and you can kill a whole bunch of people, i say bring back the old days where wars were fought on the strength and skill of the soldiers rather than which country can afford more guns. People would think twice about going to war then as well, id much rather get shot in the head than sliced up by some big hairy Norwegian (just an example).

My dads a model maker and the company he worked for in london did alot of film and advert props, one of which involved several hundred samurai swords which he got me one of. I used to open the door to trick-or-treaters with it unsheathed :rollingla turns out a 10yr old with a sword is quite scary

Make sure it's really aluminum before you go chopping lemons - those things are acid and will damage an iron blade quickly. :)

You can find real katanas fairly cheaply actually, but they have no real collecting value. And they get damaged really easily too - a sapling can resist what a 150 year old bamboo handle won't. :D

Decent ones by swordsmiths like Magoroku Kanemoto will go for plenty of money. It's also probably too long to be a katana, it's more likely to be classed as a tachi (Although it also depends on how you wear it).

Depends who you mean. The wielder or the victim

I think the Tachi was the two handed sword, as opposed to the single handed Katana, which were sometimes wielded in pairs.

Normally the length of the hilt can determin the difference between the two.

(If my memory serves me right. From when I did my studies a few years ago)

nice sword. I got pv some show case swords, there is three on a stand, I'll get him to put a pic up for you. He can also tell you a lot about swords.

The movie with Tom Cruise "the last samurai" is great and also "Kill Bill". Great sword movies.
