Technical problem

Hi guys, i got my mobo from scorch a week or so back(SLI-DR), and have got it running in the last few days with 2x 512 VX4000 Gold OCZ

My problem is from the start, i had to boot with one stick, then insert the other stick after i had gone to the bios, it would work for a bit then happen again, and always used to be one stick. now however the other stick is doing the same thing, and i have tried some bog ddr and it does it too, just cannot boot at all, screen stays on standby, fans wizz up.

What is the problem, i think my tagan has blown, that was a 480w and i am currently using a hiper 425 . the dram power light on the mobo is off too.

It's almost certain to be a power issue - especially if you blew one and the other lower power unit is worse.

Strip the unit down to bare min components and even try swapping the molex around (distributing the rails power better).

I know scorchi (mate for 20 yrs) and I know the board (the trusty stead), try flashing BIOS to 623 BIOS from DFI or latest FX60 BETA - opterons are not officially supported by DFI on this board.

yer but the thing is i cant even boot into anything, i used to get fans but now zilch.

i will hopefully be getting mbapits 530 so maybe that will help

Sounds like PSU to me... Is the PSU doing anything? Have you tried shorting the green PSU sense wire to earth?

The tagan does nothing now, when i plug to mobo it briefly lights up the standby led then dies, if i do the short pin 3+4 thing it doesnt do anything.

the new hiper is fine at the min, just nothing goes to the ram apparently, as the mobo isnt picking it up

Edit: i just found out its not the RAM thats the problem, i am currently running perhaps the WR Sempron rig for the best memory(OCZ VX4000)

I take it that means the Mothboard or PSU is the problem? and btw the other psu has now stopped responding.

If you need to rma, try nanopoint for RMA PSU...

What do you mean, im not sure i understand you, they look like a normal shop
