right, i am currently with tiscali...

i used to be with pipex, and they were amazing, i was on an 8mbps line, and i got 7966kbps down and 668 kbps up

then tiscali bought them out, i'm now lucky to get 3500kbps down, and 100kbps up, and i cannot stand for this any longer

so next month, when my contract ends, i shal be moving...

i was looking at BT option 3, as you get the phone with it, and other stuff...looks nice

but i thought i would ask here beforehand

my requirements:

8mbps, or more

the ability to download 100Gb a month (did do this only once, but ye...just to be safe, pipex never grumbled about this, and i dont wanna be with an ISP *cough*wanadoo*/cough* that does)

less than 25 a month ££

dont like AOL, been with them they kicked me off...

dont like wanadoo, been with them on the "unlimited" package that actually had a limit of 40Gb, got kicked off

and DEFINATLY dont like tiscali

so...taking all that into acount

anyone got any good sugestions

also just to mention, i'm out in the sticks...so to speak, i'm in the north of england, so we dont have good technology round here

no cable, nothing above ADSL

thanks

While we’d love everyone to enjoy our superfast broadband, unfortunately you’re just too far away from your nearest BT telephone exchange for us to provide you with our service. We’re really sorry.

If you move closer to a BT exchange in future, simply provide us with your new postcode and telephone number to find out if you can enjoy the power of Be.

100gb a month?

No wonder u got kicked off

I would have said Idnet but...

Errr how about - i actually cant think of anyone allowing that much download (they will most have some kind of cap or fair usage stuff)

Ever looked into Eclipse Broadband? Currently with them, have been for over a year and have nothing bad to say. 6meg connection for .. £17 a month i think. No limits, no complaints.

bt have no dl limits

i'm getting 7000 dl 448 ul, though i'm going to check out be

*edit*

i can get it :D

is it worth having static ip's?

if your going to host something(e.g:server, radio etc) and need your ip to stay the same then yes,if not then its better to have a dynamic ip(you can also get past some dload limiters by re-connecting if you have a dynamic ip)

Raging.

I'm on UKFSN (enta.net) and have had no problems :)

30GB Peak

300GB Off-Peak

1month contract

£19.99/month

Static IP as standard aswell

Previously I have had ADSL with F2S, Clara, Nildram, Pipex, Plusnet & IDNet.

I ended up moving from all of these due to various problems.
