Is this Set OK?

Hey guys. I`m gonna get myself a new Rig soon and i want to watercool it. I picked the parts i`m gonna get and just wanted to ask if me watercooling-kit is ok or not.

I will use a NZXT Switch 810 and i`m gonna use two Rads, the cpu will be watercooled and the graphicscard too. The Cpu will be one of the new 1155 Ivy Bridge Cpus and the graphics will be a GTX680. I want to overclock of course. So the parts:

Cpu: EK Water Blocks EK-Supreme LTX - Acetal

Gpu: EK Water Blocks EK-FC680 GTX - Acetal

Rad: Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme III 360 Radiator Rev.2

Alphacool NexXxoS Pro II 240 Radiator Rev. 2

Pump: Phobya DC-260 & Alphacool Cape Corp AGB2 Combo

Its about 300euro over here in Germany so not too expensive.

Do you think this will be ok or do i need to make changes. Is the Pump anything good? Will the parts run cool enough to overclock? Excuse me but i am really a noob when it comes to watercooling.

Usually a pump + reservoire combo creates noise and vibration in PC case, not sure about that combo my understanding regarding Phobya pumps is that they are usually silent(?).

I would think that a external reservoire would be less noise and thus better option versus reservoir + pump combo, a pump with shoggy sandwich would decrease vibration noise significantly.

I'm assuming you order from aquatuning?

Those radiator are good price but not much reviews it seems.

I think one good radiator like the G-Changer 420 performs maybe even better than those 2 rads combined and it looks alot more nice:

review on v1.2: http://www.hardwaremax.net/wasserkuehlung/radiatoren/321-test-watercool-htf4-black-vs-phobya-g-changer-420-12.html?start=4

So IMO the phobya is same price as those 2 rads and it will look nicer inside case and cooling should still be good

Yeah im ordering from aquatuning. I just realized something awful about the res that is in that combo so im not gonna use it but the pumps gonna stay the same. If you say one big radiator would be better then i only take one. Yeah im gonna get some dumpening for my pump cause i want it to be at least quiet. This is my first watercooling so your help is appreciated. Has anyone ever used the Phobya DC-260? would like to know if it is loud or not.

Try searching on google to look other user experience to be sure if the DC-260 is low noise.

Did you like the Phobya 420?

What 140mm fans will you be running with it?

Also the 2 slim rads I think(?) give better cooling but I think the 420 is well enough for youre cpu + gpu.

It is difficult to say for me as one is thick 420rad vs slim 240 +360rad.

240 + 360= 700 so it is more rad space.

I`m probably going for the Phobya G-Changer 420 with one set of Phobya Blue LED Fans. The Question with the dads is wether i need the 700mm space.

I would think the Phobya gchanger 420 can handle overclocked i7 + 680 well.

But maybe someon else can also give also opinion?

Also there is the 140mm red fan bundle, it comes with 7v adaptor so you can run the fan at lowes speed right away.

Edit--> Infact I would not take phobya 140mm fan, according this review: http://www.xpert-oc-team.de/forum/index.php?area=vbcmsarea_content&contentid=102&page=4

According that review the noiseblocker XK1 is more silent then Phobya fan

Damn. I wanted to use the Phobya Fans cause they look awesome but i also want them to be silent. So not the Phobya Fans. Actually, my hole setup is now dead. If i dont use two rads i might as well change my case to CM Haf 932. By the way, Would it be possible to fit a 80mm thick rad in the top of either Haf 932 or Switch 810. I think Tom said something like, the thicker the rad the better so if thats fact i might go for a 80mm thick one if i can fit it.

Ok just looked myself and yeah 80mm thick rad would fit in both cases but would creat some other problems in the CM HAF 932. I starting to plan something awesome here xD,

I have the Haf932, it's not good for watercooling in my opinion, it fits 360rad in top but I had to modify the case to fit a 2nd rad.

I actuall calculated and a 420rad has: 14cmx14cm= 196cm2 and three fans: ~600cm2 rad space.

240rad +360rad has: 12x12cm= 144cms and 5fans: ~720cm2 rad space.

So the Phobya is 60cm thick and it has almost same rad space.

I think the 420 phobya is wery nice vs 2 rads

I don't think thickness makes wery big difference generaly, also the phobya is optimized for silent fans.

Eh kinda late reply by me here. Thank you for your help so far. Ok im goin for the NZXZ Switch 810 with the Phobya G-Changer 3x14cm with some nice silent 14cm fans. Maybe i try to make the system even quieter by using sound-dumpening-material (think i wrote that wrong) on the case but definitly some on the pump. I found a nice Reservoir from XSPC i will be using. Everything is coming together. Already know what Motherboard and Ram i will you and already picked out the GTX680 i will get (EVGA). Now i have to wait till the new Socket 1155 Ivy Bridge CPUs come out.

I was advised not to go with an 80mm rad. From what I have read there is a fine line when the rads will become to thick and you will have to get Higher Static pressure as well as higher cfm to get the air to move through it. So you would be sacrificing quietness, that is just what I have heard and read. But to answer your questions you can get a 80mm rad up top in the Switch 810 but I believe it would only be in a push or pull fashion and not a push/pull fashion. 60mm rads and perfect imho for the switch 810, you will be able to put a 420*60 up top in push/pull config and up to a 280*60 in the bottom in push/pull config.
