Is it possible to overcome 435 FSB wall?I know P43 isnt that great for overclocking but I am looking at it as a challenge. Did somebody succeeded?

More info is needed realy to get you a more of a yes or no answer realy

Different boards and different cpu's will manage different FSB, my old Q6600 would do 450x8 fairly easy for 3.6ghz on this p35 board and my e8600 does 530x8 just as easy.

If its an amd/i7 chip then im not sure as ive not had any real experience with them, tho guessing as you said p43 im guessing its an intel E or Q series processor.

P43 board, to be precise gigabyte ep43 ds3l and a q9550. I am asking if anybody ever made it over 435fsb on a P43 not P45,..

Quad cores don't generally clock that well although to go higher than 435FSB you may have to begin raising the NB voltages. You also need to make sure that your RAM isn't causing an issue and holding you back.
