well my asus striker hasnt been giving me much headachez, but is it worthy of a bios flash to a newer version, or should i just leave it as is,secondly what is so important about a bios flashing, do new updates fix errors etc off the current board. cheers.

They say you shouldn't update unless you are having problems..

But I always get the most up to date. Usually they fix Bios errors and allow better compatibility. ;)

personally i operate on an "if its not broke dont fix it policy", but if u are overclocking, an update can mean faster speeds, or if u are having probs, a bios update is always worthwhile

Fadz and I have hit a problem.

We decided to update the Bios because it had some fixes for some kind.

Anywhoo, flashed fine and rebooted fine.

Restarted again and OC it all back to normal, and now the bios freezes.

Fadz has tryed everything.. CMOS Clears, taking out the battery. But nothing works so far, the bios still freezes.

Any suggestions? :)

So, even though two mods said not to, even though you know you should only update the bios if its broken, even though it wasn't broken...

You did it anyway! Now it is broken!

All I can suggest is that you get the working version of a bios on a usb stick, nail alt+f4 until you get into the bios flash tool and flash it back.

If the flash went so wrong that you can't even do that - it's broken. See if you can get a new bios chip or its an RMA...
