Is Alphacool Cape Cora worth a shot?

I have never used water cooling before so I am a complete nood on the subject.

I am brainstorming ideas for a new mod. I have seen these Alphacool Cape Cora passive radiators and am wondering if I can use these to cool a CPU. My idea is to only use two of the radiators connected together to cool a CPU. I watched the TTL vid on these and like the idea but 6 radiators would not fit my planned system. I will not be putting any significant overclock on the CPU so I do not need to worry about the extra heat. This mod will be mostly for show so the performance does not need to be the greatest but I would like it to at least be able to keep the CPU reasonably cool.

The components I am thinking of using are:

Bitspower 150 tube res

Swiftech MCP35X pump

Bitspower CPU block Summit EF

2x Alphacool Cape Cora HF 142.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

It's worth it if you are not that bothered about having an external rad and slightly higher temps, the reduction in noise is a bonus though and I bet you could use it to keep yourself warm in the winter.

Do you think two would be enough to cool a CPU? The idea I am working on involves mounting two of these to the top of the case.

Not sure how many you would need to be honest, the one Tom used did CPU and GPU so at a guess i'd say it should be enough but i'm not 100% sure.

The temps wont drop that much more by adding extra in matey, you need a lower ambient for them to work better and a MUCH better pump. I was going to run two in a rig with a pair of DDC ultras and it was a mare to keep the pumps quiet. Youll either have to take the plunge with two and tune your rig accordingly or just use normal rads and quiet fans (this way will perform better be cheaper and easier to move and maintain)

Good to know, I will try it with two as planned and see how the temps go. I live in a area that has very predictable weather the average monthly temperatures range from 57.3 °F (14.1 °C) in January to 72.5 °F (22.5 °C) in August. Is the MCP35x not a good pump? The reviews I see online seem to show it as a good pump and very quite as well. But I have no first hand experience with it. I will give it a go and see how things pan out.

DDC's are noisey unless you are anal about damping them correctly. I used to use them all the time, the ultra has an awesome head height (pressure)

My goal is to make the system as quiet as possible so I will do my best to isolate any pump noise. Will the Bitspower BP-DDCTP-BK DDC TOP be a worthwhile add on to the pump or is this just a waist?

Dunno about the pump top.

Active rads would be better imho matey.... temps will be way lower and the rig will be much tidier.

Late to the party, not sure how the build ended up going.

From the reviews I read before building my case out of these radiators, they must be mounted vertically to make use of thermal convection to help greatly in cooling.

And depending on what CPU you wanted to cool (more specifically, what loads you put on it), I don't think two would do you any much good.

Here is my build from last year - case is completely made of Cape Cora radiators, high end, overclocked components, cool, and completely silent (below ambient):
