hello i'm planning to buy a radeon hd 6770 and was wondering is a normal 400 watt psu enough for that my other components are

CPU:Intel E6600

RAM:2GB

HDD:250GB

and one DVD drive

You may be able to squeeze by with only 400 watts but it will be risky. You would be much better off getting a higher watt PSU at least 450 or 500 watts.

It will cut it yes, as your cpu isnt that higher power and you dont have loads of additional hard drives and stuff to power as well.

I personally wouldnt run anything less than a 500w psu if i had a graphics card that didnt only take power from the pcie slot, but that's just me.

If you've already bought the psu, then dont worry about it, it'll work fine.

If you havent, look to upgrade to a slightly higher wattage if you can.

Also, what brand psu is it?

Its very close to call imo, its not just about wattage, its also whether the psu can supply enough amperage down the rails to satisfy the graphics card

Yes mate it should be fine. I would suggest adding another 2GB of RAM for 4GB total AT LEAST. 2GB just doesn't cut it anymore.
