hi there

i will need to use the bottom pcie slot of my motherboard for my second GPU. now, unfortunately this blocks the way to my onboard usb 3 pin header. but i would certainly like to connect my case's (Cosmos 2) front panel usb3 somehow.

does anyone know where i could get a 90 degrees angled usb 3 onboard pin header adapter ?

best regards

Never seen a usb right angle extender. However, there is nothing special about usb at the header end, its just a standard 20 pin. You could get a 20 pin ribbon cable and then use this coupler to connect the 20pin off the front panel.

edit. Sarnen, Switzerland .. you'll have to find you own ones mate, or order international.

I ordered these cables....

The adapter is fine, but the ribbon cable is NOT the correct one. DO NOT ORDER IT. It cost me like $13 with shipping. I was having the same issue and was excited to get it figured out, but, alas, it was not to be. If I figure it out a solution, I will post it here.

Not sure where you got that, but I am actually from Minnesota (USA). I just added it to my profile.

I was a little disappointed that the flat cable didn't work. I ordered a regular extension cable for $5 and was just going to see if I could mod it a little, maybe take off the outer plastic at the end. If that works, I was thinking I MIGHT try it with my case's USB3.0 cable. I don't want to tear that one apart unless I'm sure it will work. I may not anyway, as that one is much harder to replace.

If it works I'll take a few pics and post them here, maybe give some other noob an idea of what to do.

If anyone knows of a more elegant solution in the meantime, I'm all ears.

The OP is from Switzerland, don't think he was talking to you Jake.

Anyway as for Rossi, we try to stick to English here on the forums, makes it easy for everyone to understand eachother and not just one person.
