Be interesting to let some hacks get their hands on the cheaper models to see if they can be flashed with the faster drive's firmware.
They throw alot of talk in there about how the one set of drives are built differently, with different scales and so on, but I wouldn't mind betting they come from the same grass hut.
They could also increase the height of the units, minimally, and support 2x pcb, have a raid effect going on before the point of the SATA controller. Thus having raid speeds of the SSD, without the need for drivers/setup etc, on the nice shiny SATA3.
