Intel Skylake i5 6600K & i7 6700K 1151 Z170 Review

Rawz!!! Please can I have a free MSI board so I can try this... Never going to happen! Nor do I want to buy another board to try, but what I will do is get onto some record setting Overclockers and get their opinions of it.

Software isnt for record setters Wraith thats just retarded, shame on you.

Its for n000bs who cba.

Its the first rung on the ladder, most of us keep climbing though.

The others argue and look stooooopid.

Precisely my point, and the exact reply I'd expect to receive from say HICookie or 8Pack.

"mic unplugged"

If a clock speed is all youre looking for it does deliver that, but with all of the volts way too high if you do it the unmanaged route. I spent the entire show at Dreamhack showing people the difference between software and manual. Ask KillBane or Permafrost they attended one of the workshops. Oh and that was a workshop on the Intel stand... For Intel. Paid for by Intel.

Bringing record overclockers into it was just daft though.

Overclocking is easy. You could just do it as you would with your bloatware. go into the bios, find the multi and up it. Boot into windows and see if it chrashes when gaming. Didn't crash? Good. Continue if you want or leave it. Take exactly 23.6454 seconds for me. Also I dare you to start the GPU argument again. A GPU is an add-in card it is not the Central Processing Unit.

Anyhoo back on the topic of the Intel Skylake i5 6600K & i7 6700K 1151 Z170 Review, I enjoyed this one thanks Guv. I'm impressed but I'll not be going skylake the gains over the 4790k are miniscule.. Be good few years for me.

Yeah, it isn't a good upgrade compared to haswell/DC. The best aspects of haswell are good overclocking and the better IPC, which is great for those on Sandy or ivy.

With all the chips i7 I've tested I've got a minimum of 4.7 OC, which is pretty damn high.

Aye it will be sometime before I upgrade from haswell myself i'll save the pennies for a new graphics card this year :)
