I will dig out the Intel bracket later and an old 775 board out shed and will check it if drops in place

Techno Tortoise, the short answer is no see below..

From board top to bottom view (right hand standoff thing nearest is lined up with hole)

and from side..

The top half of the retainer fits ok if you could work with that?

But here is why the whole thing doesn't work on 775 board, (the legs of back bracket thing are all the way in)

Hope this helps answer it, and whether or not you can either put a normal 775 backplate on and somehow fix it down?

after a bit of looking round i found this pic and it looks like 775 is supported but since it isnt listed on there website i think they might of taken it out?
I might just purchase and see if it does still have 775 support an if it doesnt i might look on ebay for a 775 backplate, thanks for all the help!

if i remember right, the NZXT cooler has that back plate, it looks same as 1 I saw in a review and building guide on youtube I saw a while ago when I was looking into the AIO coolers.

ok so i got the H110 and the backplate fit but the top bracket didnt, i would be able to mod it to fit but since im going 1150 in a few days there isnt any point.
