It seems Intel are gonna roll out there new smaller wafered processors soon.

The Inquirer said:
CHIP FIRM Intel will introduce its 672 and 662 Pentium 4s on the 13th November, and will price them at just over $600 and $400 respectively.

These processors have 2MB of cache, clock at 3.8GHz and 3.6GHz respectively, and have 800MHz system buses.

So thats pretty cool - should be ghood clockers those babies :D

Seems their gonna be having a very busy time!!

This is in preparation for the introduction of its dual core desktop chips in January, the 950, 940, 930, and 920. These chips are all 65 nanometre processors and support VT virtualisation.

Further single core processors will be released in January, the 661 (3.6GHz), the 651, the 641 and the 631. The number one at the end means these will be 65 nanometre processors and will have VT enabled. They will have the same prices as the 90 nanometre chips at the same speeds.

Wow - what with this and news of lots of new motherboards on the was - seems Intel are going to be raising the stakes on AMD. Can AMD's FAB's keep up with this?

Who knows - but it remains to be seen. mmmm - CPU war :D

Very good news, I can't wait to see what these chips will be able to do. Gratz to intel for stepping up to the plate before AMD.

I hope we can see some specs and results soon!
