Intel Or AMD??!!

Ok lets see the lineup then!!! who is Intel and who is AMD?? anybody prefer one over the other?? well surely everybody has their favourite??

I would love to see a nice equal balance...

yeah intel seems to be better than amd in things like that but amd tend to beat intel in gaming. i dot do much gaming tho so... intel!!

I game a lot and will be gaming in the forseeable future so for me aMD is the only place to go. Esp when the dual core 64's cme out....sweet.

Some P4's are cheap tho - so it was kinda tempting to get one!

Lets just hope that no arguments occur on this thread as I've seen on other forums. Flame wars and all sorts!

HT is nice for applications, but even my XP Barton runs those games smooth as Pie (ok and the 6800GT OC helps too!)

yeah flaming is bad but points need to be proven. i am not naive enough to think that intel is better than amd in gaming.

I personally am not a fanboy of either. I am an Intel user now, but I wouldn't mind building a new rig with AMD in it.

Intel is my choice, im using it since i bought first computer and i never had any problems, aslo in life im working in one company which selling hardwer on big so i can see how many amd we get back and how many intel we get back. Other thing is that mainboards for intel are better, respect to NVIDIA but they still cant make chipset good as intel, still remeber intel 845 damn good chipset, now im using 865 and i can thell ounly best for it.

hmmm, nice views there but i am not sure about the intel chipset. i am using the 845 i think and it is nothing special. not a great chipset to overclock on but great for my first system. i bought intel because the first time i built i didnt know anything about amd so thoughtr i would go with the safe option!

depend what 845 chipset do you have 845E is much better then 845PE, and best of all is 845G with integrated graphic ofcourse it is for normall office use but man whrn you assemble that you dont have any wory :worship:

i have used both amd and intel and they all worked great so i think they're both good. if you play choose AMD if do alot of multitasking go for Intel
