Intel I7 880... Where is it?

I was thinking since I have decided to stay on the 1156 socket for a while that there should be a "higher end" i7 CPU so to speak.

So I jumped on wiki and went to "List of future Intel microprocessors" because I have seen a lot on there already in the past and no luck with any i7 1156's on there so I followed a link to "List of Intel Core i7 microprocessors" and I found Intel® Core™ i7-880 Processor (8M Cache, 3.06 GHz).

I did some googleing and only found rumors from February about it but intel has it listed here with a Launch Date of Q2'10.

I can't find it in any store in Australia. All i can think of is that it wasn't a good CPU so isn't really listed any where.

Dose any one know any thing about the i7 880?

Its not been released and afaik wont be getting released either because of the new 1155 socket thats coming

Are you saying that the new 1155 PCB's will have a different socket style that obsoletes the old ones?

I hope not but it would be a marketing thing for intel.

Is it true Intel won't be releasing any performance i7's and i5's until 2012 and aim all there efforts at energy saving CPU's?

Its far more than that.

1155 will be intels main releases for a while but Im sure there will be more kit out before the 2011 socket release. 990X is due soon, I dont think you will see any 32nm quads on the 1366 socket though
