Hi guys i bought this card(8600gt) a few weeks ago...

I use Intel Desktop Utilities since i bought my pc (years ago), 1 or 2 days after i installed this card this program is starting to give me warning msgs like

+3.3V Out of recommended range

CPU Core Out of recommended range

+12V Out of recommended range

+5V Out of recommended range

What does this means, should i panic or something? I dont having temperature issues, could this be my power source isnt enough for this card?

i just have a hd,dvd and a couple of coolers(4) and the freezer cooling pro

Thanks guys

What power supply do you have? It sounds like it cannot provide the required power at the require tolerance levels.

Or the software is too critical. All those reports across the board tho..

Got a crappy ASUS monitoring thing at home that reports 12v issues when there aren`t any. Can move the thresholds on it mind u.

hmmm well i a have a cheap 500w an old one, maybe 2 years...

but could that card use so much energy?

one year ago this same power source was working with 7 coolers, 1 dvd 1 cd, 2 HD and was everything fine

Is there another program to check that?i know it must be the power source i just unplugged the HD cooler and got less warning msgs

BTW what does this kind of msgs means and what would they do to my pc?i know theyre warnings of problems but what kind of problems and consequences

Ty guys

Well a cheap PSU will have cheap components that degrade over time. Use a multimeter to check the rails if I were you

hmmm mayube is software, when i used intel dekstop utilities with speedfan got problems, im using everest with intel dekstop utilities.

But i think i should buy aa new psu, any ideas?

i still need a cheap one i spent my moeny with my video card :(

btw could you explain me the probelms o this voltage changes?

Try putting the system under some load, cpu, gpu, hdd, optical drive all at once. Everest has some system load tests or something doesn't it?

Low voltages can cause instability, high voltages can cause damage.

High volts are much worse than low, if you're getting low volts and no apparent instability then you could wait a little while and save up for a half decent PSU.

I have a silverpower 600W and I believe OCZ 600/700W ones are also good value.

ok guys i just found the problem it was a software problem i unistalled everest and now i dont have more voltage problems :S

weird but it worked

then i should just work with ntune to check the video card temp

Thanks for all guys

Glad you fixed the problem mate! :)

I recommend using RivaTuner instead of nTune.. Much better for NVidia cards.

Can be found here.
