Right, what you are looking at here is the PCi slot cover which normally sits on top of my case. I took all the paint off it and then heated it up with a torch to discolor it. Same with the fan grill (although on that it got too dark since I couldn't really estimate how long to heat it up for the right color.) it looks very orangy/bronze on the pictures but there is actually a lot more blue in it up to around the middle, like you can see in the last picture.

It's nothing special but it's a touch I wanted to include.

Cheers!

yeah I wish there would have been a bit more blue and pink in it but I just wasnt able to hit 250+°C with what I had on hand.

Its a "neo chrome" finish, its basically a coating so you would need to spray loads of chemicals on it to get the exact finish, great attempt however and nice build :)

about a month has passed by and a lot has changed, well not THAT much but here is what progress has been made:
Modified side panel
Bigger window (and blue)
Changed the fan layout
Changed cable flow
Made the top plastic pieces shiny
Made some touch ups of the Metallic Black side pieces
Painted the rear panel white and stripped it back down
Painted the rear panel metallic black like the sides
Repositioned the HDD
Small adjustments to the PSU stickers
Modified the dust filter for more flow

All of the above will be shown to you guys in pictures in maximum 2 weeks, that when the final bits arrive. Stay tuned.

Guess what? HUGE UPDATE TIME!

This is my rig 2 weeks ago. Featuring the previously known Rajintek Morpheus on my GTX 770.
What is new to you guys is the huge window on the side. The way that was created was that I cut the original panel alog a certain line so that would cover up the top portion where all the ugly I/O would be. The rest is one big piece of cyan tinted acrylic. Yes. It's not some white balance issue, that window IS blue.

I then got offered a substantial upgrade.

Can you guess which monstrous card this is?
How about now?

_DSC0570_1.jpg

It is a R9 295X2 indeed. MrKambo offered me this card and a 850W Silverstone PSU as well. I just could not deny it even though I'm generally on a really tight budget concerning anything PC related.

This is the installement at the day of it's arrival. As you can see my CPU cooler is really in the way and I had to make the tubes go some funky curves. Nothing major just something I didn't want to have running all the time. Also I couldn't run the rad in a Push/Pull config with that metal block in the way. I had to change it.

_DSC0582.jpg

This is the replacement for my CPU Cooler I had in use for minimum 3years. It got kind of sentimental lol.

It's the beQuiet! Shadow Rock LP.
I thought it'd be small enough to let me mount the rad at the top if my case while still maintaining decent performance.

_DSC0587.jpg

Insant install and... disappointment. It wouldn't fit. 2cm too high so basicly no air cooler would be able to fit. Bummer. I could have gone ahead and spent another 100bucks on an AiO but that just wouldn't have fit my budget. Another solution had to be found.

_DSC0588.jpg

And this was the solution I opted for. I had ideas like mounting the rad to the cpu cooler which were just as ridiculous as MrKambo's idea to put the rad into the fridge while gaming. So I removed the 180mm fans and mounted the rad on the 120mm mounting spots. I forgot to mention whoch fans I was running on the rad.

I'm using Noiseblocker BlackSilent PL-PS. You can't hear them at 700rpm which they run at while idling and at 1000rpm while gaming they are still more silent than my HDD or the VRM fan on the 295. I wanted to go for 24V Noctua iPPC's but there were some delivery issues which made them unavalaible to me until the end of February.

_DSC0591_1.jpg

This is how it runs now. 2 Noctua Redux S12 fans on the floor and one normal S12 fan on top. All of them are most likely to be replaced with Noiseblocker BlackSilent fans, just not now.

For good measure, the ugly side of things.

Side panles back on and onto some testing.

Max temps. after 30minutes of Valley benchmark:
GPU: 69°C and 71°C
CPU: 62°C on the hottest core.

Max temps. after 30minutes of GTA V:
GPU: 61°C and 62°C
CPU: 45°C

And this is it now. And how it will be for the longest time. This is the most powerfull PC I've ever built.

Thanks Happy and also all the other guys who were always there.
