In The Market For A New Case

I've been looking for a new case to replace my Fractal Define R5 simply because I want one with a side window and also a bit more room. Now I love the R5, however it's a shame they went with that small side window instead of a bigger one like the Define S.

There are too many cases to consider... And it doesn't help when they need to be compatible with my EKWB Predator 360. So I've been eying the Thermaltake Suppressor F51. Normally I wouldn't even consider Thermaltake, but it seems they made a damn good case with this one (clearly very much inspired by the Define series from Fractal).

I'm curious though if anyone have got experience with those magnetic dust covers on the top of the case, seeing as the Corsair 750D also has that. Would it be futile trying to exhaust air through that filter, and would it be better to draw in air from the top and pull it out through the rear? And no I'm not considering the Corsair 750D as it's way too expensive for it's flimsy build. I had one few years back, and I wasn't impressed.

The Thermaltake case will be as poorly built as the 750D. Have you considered looking at what Phanteks offer?

They do great cases.

I have just got a White Phanteks Enthoo Pro and wow what a superbly built case I would recommend this to you mate and the best thing not a rivet in sight :)

I have actually. I love the Enthoo Evolv ATX, but... Although you can cram in the Predator 360, the options are limited. If sitting in the roof the rear fan will have to be removed, which means I'll need to push in lots more air through the front to keep a positive pressure. If mounted in the front, it will be a tight fit but can be done, however the pump/reservoir will have to be positioned in the top which I'm not really happy about. It will produce more noise since the pump will have to work much harder and then you got air getting trapped up there as well.

What about the Enthoo Pro then? It's a bit bigger and has a few more options watercooling-wise. Plus, it has 5.25" bays, whatever you want those ugly things for ;)

Hey I grew up with 8" floppy drives, 5.25" rocks my world haha.

Yes I'm looking at it now. It looks really good, I wonder though how modular it is. I hate 3.5" drive cages that can't be removed.

Afaik all the cages come out as a feature. And then there's the fact that the case is all screws, so worst comes to worst you grab a screwdriver and you can literally take the entire thing apart in a few minutes.

What's the difference between the Luxe and Pro, is it only the included LED?

Edit: Ah and it looks a bit different. I just noticed.

Thank you Tolemac. I watched the review earlier and I like what I'm seing. It would be madness not picking that case considering the price/quality and its options.

You are welcome I am going to fit my hardware into my Enthoo pro today :)
