In Desk PC? Help needed.

I want to build a desk where my pc is in it - does anyone have any build log of a similar project?

I have a mate that is a carpenter and he can do anything out of wood so that wont be a problem. I would like to WC the whole system and get some 2 x XTX or RX 480 rads in push pull and 2 XTX OR RX 360 in push pull.

Now, as this is just a thought for a project then I am still trying to figure out the layout of the system and this is where I am asking for your help and thought.

I was thinking of having the 480 rads on the sides with one side pushing in air an(left for instance) and on the other side (right) then it would push the air out of the table.

The top or front (depending how you look at it..) would have the 2 x 360 rads pushing air into the desk. In theory that would create positive air pressure and would benefit the WC or?

Thoughts? Would the mobo be at the center of the table? Where would the PSU be placed? I am open for sugestions.

I would probably hide all the cables for the fans etc.

* Forgot to mention but the top would be custom cut glass.

Measure yourself and the position that you find comfortable to sit and work at. A lot of builds I have seen in the past in my opinion did not take this into account. The Lep desk and the one scan made a few years ago are excellent. Check them out and use them for a little inspiration and I'm sure you could make something fantastic

Another question i have is that I would like to use the NZXT GRID FAN HUB that can support 10 fans, but I dont want to run at 12v but at 7v. Is there anyway that I could make them all run at 7v without a fan controler?

Very true, I was making measurments and I see that its easy to draw and make the desk but then its whole different story to make it confortable to sit at...

you could make a template out of cardboard and stick it to the front of a table that you know you would be comfortable to sit at for leg clearance and have the main body of the pc on one side in a deep pocket and the cooling parts at the other with just tubing going across a shallow section in the middle where your legs would be. that would be m suggestion. pods at the side with a thin link section in the middle.

also before the mods come on. they hate double posts so make sure to edit posts in the future and multi quote if needed. we have all done it bud lol.

Does anyone know where I could buy this bracket?

LL

Or any bracket that could fit with a ASUS Hero?

This is my layout so far, the table/desk wont be very large as where I am placing it then there is not much space. Its only going to be 110 x 55 cm.

What do you guys think? Is this possitive air pressure enough? I want to use a carbon film/coating for the bottom as I will be having white tubing and white fittings - and will paint the radiators white.

Ohh and I know overkill for WC but I am planning to go SLI in the future. This is just a project because I want too....

6 fans pulling air in and 4 pulling out.. i think its safe to say thats positive pressure, if the fans were the same and running same rpms at least.

Yes, they are the XSPC 1650 rpm fans, all fans are the same and are all controlled by fan controlers - got these fans due to their price: 4 euros a piece.

What are your thoughts about the loop? Anything you would change with this setup?

A carbon floor would be WAYYYYYY too much, it looks god awful when it's not used very sparingly IMHO - I know a lot of guys on here think the same. I'd strongly suggest using a piece of white acrylic instead or white carbon - it'll look far cleaner! :)

white acrylic would actually look nice and clean... I will have a look at that. Cheers!
