Idle temps on a 7950

I just bought a Sapphire 7950 Boost reference card. It seems to be idling at around 46 deg. c. is this too hot or what? benchmark and gaming temps don't go above 80 though.

That doesn't seem too high. Besides, your load temps are the only thing you should really worry about anyway and 80 is pretty average. Setting up a fan profile in Afterburner would probably drop the temps a few degrees if it bothers you.

By any chance do you have more than one screen connected to it? That increases idle temps by a fair bit.

Thanks for the replies, folks. Good crew here. Yea, I wasn't worried about the load temps. That's pretty good under furmark. Only one screen. thanks.

Idle temps are defineltly to high, should be around 30c.
