I7 980 4.0 and 2 GTX 470sli @ 800mhz Gpu clock Vantage score

Ok The first result is with CPU @ 4.0 Ghz this is the result @ 4.2 Ghz.. I think it is rather Good for 2 GTX 470's ..

Is physx disabled?
It's a pretty good score but it's either bugged or physx was enabled.

He is running a 980X at 5800 mhz and booth the card is overclocked and you are only about 1000 points from him.

Not a bad score, but PPU is certainly enabled. I generally test with PPU disabled so I can get a more realistic comparison to ATI cards. Plus, in games, PhysX makes no where near the difference it does in Vantage. Also, as it adds to the CPU score, it squews the results even more in my view, so just looking at the GPU score gives a better indication of comparitive performance across various cards.
I find Vantage does scale particularly well in SLI, you can near double your score vs. a single card. 3d Mark '11 doesn't scale quite so well. I get ~6,000 for a single GTX 570 @ 800 but only about 10,500 for the pair. I do get a "unrecognised driver" message though so I don't know if that changes anything. For the record I'm using 280.26 WHQL.
One thing to be aware of - a pair of nVidia cards scoring ~40k with PPU enabled would be thoroughly spanked by a pair of ATI cards scoring the same in real gaming scenarios - even if PhysX was enabled. I'm pleased 3d Mark '11 uses direct compute for it's physics tests as it allows better comparison in my view.
Still, a good score for a pair of 470's @ 800 - from memory I get around 45 - 47k with my pair of GTX 570's @ 800 - 850 with PPU enabled so they're not that far behind in this test.

Hey Scoob I am using the 280.26 drivers , and yes I had Physx enabled... My Cpu scores on Vantage with Physx Disabled are a little over 38,000... Which are Actually Better than the I7 980X were at the same Clocks... my cinebench 11.5 CPU scores are also Better At same clocks from what I have red, if im wrong somone tell me.. they are 10.75..@4.2 Ghz.. remember the I7 970 that Tom Loves so much also out Performed the I7 980X when over clocked... And this New 980 Chip has the Benifit of the Newer Technology. And So far from My Testing is Out Performing its Predisesor.. we will See I have asked our Mentor lol Tiny Tom to Do a review Of My Chip.. several times Hopefully he will Be able to get one Done that would be awesome..

Considering He is On Liquid Nitro at 5.8Ghz and Me at 4.0 Ghz on air , and He is Nitro cooling his 470's at 940mhz and im @ 799...with my Vantage score Being Just at 34,000 with physx Disabled @ 4.0Ghz ,I would say I am Doing Much better Per clock cycle The He did... Now the P41,345 Vantage score is @4.2Ghz with Physx enabled ,, Still with a cpu score of 84,078,, still out doing its 980x predisesor Per clock cycle...

He also Has Physx Enabled... and his total score is only 3,000 more.. A good argument for the New 980 Being a better chip than its older Brother..
