I7 930 overclock questions/concerns

Hey guys, managed to get my 930 to 4ghz, but it keeps dropping from 4.002 - 3.999 on cpuz.

Prime95 just recognised it as 3.99ghz

Also my temps read (Core temp readings)

Idle

Core 0 - 40c

Core 1 - 37c

Core 2 - 40c

Core 3 - 36c

Do they look normal to you guys?

Was stable for 30mins of Prime95 Small FFTs.

But just finished an hours gaming after a blue screen crash, reboot and another blue screen.

Upped the volts to 1.25v, see if that helps.

i use LinX 20 pass at max ram to test my overclocks, i sometimes use folding@home to test it aswell

i think my qpi is at 1.26 and my ram is 1.66

Thanks for the information.

I upped the QPI to 1.26 but when i tried to up the ram to 1.66 it said that anything above 1.65 can permanently damage the cpu, so i left that a 1.64.

yeah mate i wouldnt worry about that warning, stupid that they dont have a 1.65 option since the ram runs at that

Upping the QPI seem to have stablised the system.

Over couple of hours worth of none stop gaming and no crashes.

try and 20 pass max ram in LinX mate if it passes that ur pretty much guaranteed its gonna be as stable as ull ever get it
