Hi I have a 3770K I got it up to 4.5GHz at 1.320v Cant get it up to 4.6-7 (Plus using prime95 it wasnt stable this was at 4.6GHz)I would like to but the temps are just too high, Im using a Corsair H100 With the stock fans on top of the stock fan I have put 6 Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition fans on top of them.

http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/9243/20121221224122.jpg ------ This is picture of the fans if you didnt understood me properly

While playing games the highest Temp is 60 I play like BF3 FIFA 13 WORLD OF TANKS PLANETSIDE 2 ect all kinds my FPS is amazing I dont have any problems playing games they run really nicely But im thinking is 60 is abit too high. I did run prime95 for 4.5GHz I put it on the torture test for about 12Hours no errors temps were 85 Max sometimes went to 90 but mostly 85 86 87.

Idle temps are up and down really at the moment its 38 but sometimes goes up to 45 then goes back down to 32 33 but its usually under 40 do my temps look okay, Like I said I had no errors using prime95 some Im guessing these temps are normal

PS This is my first INTEL CPU I was using a AMD Phenom X6 1090T Intel ROCKKK :) sorry to say Please can someone help Thanks again

Just drop to 4.5ghz and save yourself effort. You should manage that with very few volts, I manage it on 1.20v.
Not really worth the extra 0.12 for 100mhz IMO - (I know it won't be exactly that, but you get the idea)

It is on 4.5Ghz stable But I cant go any lower than 1.320v get Blue screen or in prime95 8hours or something I get a error really annoying when that happened.

I would like to get 4.6 4.7 But Im at 4.5Ghz Now.

Wait...hang on, I just re-read that....
You have 6 fans on your H100? Are you trolling?

Looks like you've been unlucky on the silicone lottery though...

yes thats correct...... But are the temps okay ?? Thats what I want to know ? Its 30 Now
Ivy Bridge runs much hotter when you raise the voltage. This is a fact that cannot be avoided without popping the heat spreader off the CPU and applying a better thermal paste. 60 Celsius is perfectly fine for load temps but 85-90 like you were saying is too high when sustained over long periods.

PS. If you got the fan idea from TTL's H100 mod video, you should probably know that he was trolling and he even said so in the video.

Idk if those temps are usual for a dud Ivy Chip or not, but have you checked the CPU block is fitted nice and snug? If one screw is slightly loose then the temps can look fine on idle but sky rocket under load.

Yeah there is pretty much NO benefit to having those extra fans there...

Agree... Push pull (one pair on top and one pair on bottom) is the only thing that will do you any good past just a pair on one side... Pull those extra fans off and put them somewhere else in your case... To be brutally honest; it makes you look like an uber nooblet with a stack of fans up there...

Haha it isn't like that anymore don't worry, I would rake another phote but can the size is too big to put on this site

Yea I'm a idiot I used image shack lol. I will post a photo when I have my PC back I do have a photo but its not what my rig looks like now. :)
