Hey guys.
I'm very much new when it comes to pc building and overclocking and very recently I purchased and built my own pc. Very recently, however, I had a look through my asus monitoring software and found that my cpu was using a 1.3 v core and is permanently turbo'd to 3.8ghz. I downloaded and installed cpu-z to see if it displayed the same results and it did.
I suppose what i'm asking is, is this normal? I haven't tinkered with any of the settings in the bios yet and 1.3 v core seems absurdly high for a stock settings. I've heard from numerous places that this is the cut off point for voltage that you should use for ivy bridge.
In case anyone is wondering, i'm using the asus p8z77-v pro motherboard.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
