i21 Action LIVE!!!! (56k Beware MANY images)

Ok guys n gals, Arterion, and I are currently sat at our machines at the Multiplay i21 event. Scarecrow is joining us tomoz and then we shall kick some ass as team [EP-UK]!!!

We will update things regularly on here as the days go on, maybe with vids, pics, and other random stuff we find fun to put on.

Things didn't start well as my Mach2 lost it's 821 Firmware and went into bootload mode which wasn't fun at all, as I knew how to fix it I was up and fully working in minutes. Arterions (Adam) Mach1 decided not to play ball at all and after about 10min of wondering what the hell was going on we noticed the jumper for the PSU had fallen out meaning it wouldnt start up with his P4, oh the joy!!!!

Well after all this we are here and loving it already so far. I'm seriously contemplating an X800XT aswell after seeing one of these babies in the flesh and actually watching the FPS rocket up on 2k3.

Woooooooohooo this event rules and it hasn't even officially started. Got some awesome pics, unfortunately only on my mobile phone because i'm st00pid and forgot to bring the cam

Yeah as Boardy said, trials and tribulations in the beginning, just gotta hope everything stays working as well as it is right now. It's pretty warm in here as it is...it's 3am and less than half full, I think my cpu would shrivel up and tell me to f**k off if it wasn't for the prommie....but then again I suppose air cooling works for everyone else

I'll try to make a few updates and news bits n bobs to let you all know what we're up to (when boardy's too busy to do so himself- he's been benching every 10 mins, lord know what he'll be like when he may buy the X800pro at some point)- pub quiz tomorrow night which should be interesting, someone will let y'all know how the EP-UK presence at i21 does (thats 3 of us lol).

Would be great for a few more to show up to the next one, it's a garaunteed great time.

Boardy's in control of the cam, so he'll be the one providing pics Animal. So far i've been playing Doom3, C&C Generals/ZH and a bit of UT2k4...great fun. Bit wary about entering any tourneys because the l33test of the l33t come here, order of events in a network game for me here is spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, fire off one round, die again. Lord I suck lol. All great fun though. Hm, dying for some food...can't really be bothered to move though. Pah.

HELOOOOOO, well I've been awake about 12hours longer than I shoulda been playin with the DV cam and have some amusing vids. Also got a few stills of the early arrivals ground floor on the ol' digicam which I'l upload to my server and post links on here in a bit.

As for games I've played CoD and thats about it so far lol. Had to reformat twice cos my StarStorm nVidia drivers ****d up on me so I'm back to gd ol' ForceWare .

Phil mate, we have had mucho interest in stuff here just with early arrivals which was about 100-200 ppl mainly at the prommy units so far. I'm goin to collect the flyers later on because my mate is printing them for us so they shall be going round soon.

Anyway, thats about all from me for the time being......hehe for now

UPDATE!!!!

We now have another problem to deal with, Arterions managed to do something wrong and keeps getting BlackHoled so he has no network access which is amusing me but he's really not laughing

Anyway, its 9pm and we still havn't eaten, WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!! Dominos to your desk and we STILL havn't eaten. There is something seriously wrong!!!!!!

Sorted the problem for now...no virus or spyware causing me to be binned so they just let me back on the network and everything's running fine...i'll be interested to see how long for. When it gets to some ridiculous time of the morning and I have nothing better to do I might draw up some sort of diary detailing all the problems we've had so far. Just barely at the end of the first day and it's already as long as our arms!

Hi guys. Its 2:08 and I havn't slept since 7:00 thursday morning so starting to feel a little tired now. Can't give in tho, Scarecrow and I have a bet going that we will stay awake for the entire event and not sleep for more than 30min a day. Could get interesting!!

I bought Doom3 and have been scaring myself stupid playing it lol. Can't wait to get it home onto the 7.1 surround tho .

I have taken a few more pics of all the ppl here now and will post these when I get a chance to get them off the digi cam. It'll just show u lot how many people there are actually at these events and how many people there are to make friends with and play against.

So far {TTG} (our clan) is signed up to a 5v5 UT2k4 DeathMatch Double Domination tournament which could be interesting as only 4 of us really play it alot. We're not here to win anything tho, we come for the fun and atmosphere.

Ok guys, as promised more images of the fun and frolics here at i21. We have over 100 pics now but how 10 for you to stew over for a while.

Things are going well here now. Art and I have been scaring ourselves absolutely cr4pless playin Doom3 while tired at about 2-4 in the mornin with headphones on loud, Scarcrow and WilDcArd have been playing C&C Generals and Zero Hour.

We also have about 6 Xbox's here with huuuuuge flat screen Samsung TV's here to play Gotham Racing on against each other using link up play with the Xbox Live! If this starts to ramble I'm sorry I just woke up after getting 2 hours sleep and I've had about in all now 6 hours since Wednesday night

We entered a UT2k4 tournament earlier and got absolutely slaughtered. Think we need to practice a little more before hand and actually have a tactic for the game. Instead of going ok I'll shoot and hope I do somethin usefull.

Ok its now 4:14 in the morning on Sunday, Arterion and I are still going strong after about 4 red bulls and Bolts each . "The 24 Hour Challenge" starts tomoz at 9am which will be very amusing to say the least.

If you are unintroduced to LAN events, "The 24 Hour Challenge" is where you challenge each other (naaa really ) to stay awake for 24 hours with no sleep at all and with a reward if they do it. They agree and then say if you fall asleep u buy them a drink but if they fall asleep they buy u a drink. The catch is to make sure no1 actually falls asleep you all have to stay awake lol, the more people the more fun, and with 5 of us it's going to get very interesting .

Sounds very stupid but its done at every LAN i go to lol. It was me an my cousin at i20 doing it which actually lasted nearly 48 hours. What makes it harder is that Art and myself have actually had about 8 hours sleep each since Wednesday night whereas the rest of the guys have been asleep for about 5 hours already just today - LAMERS!!!

Also have some more night pics just to show how the place changes in the night which I'l upload in a while. Anyway, later should be quite amusing with all the different things happening during the day.

Ok guys, this will be one of the last updates if not the last. It's 12:50am and I still havn't been to sleep since i woke up @ 8 this morning. "The 24 Hour Challenge" is being help up by everyone so far but I recon Graham will be the first to crack as he's lookin a little shattered. Art already lost cos he went home to sleep earlier @ about 830 and didnt get back until 2!!!!

Ok we have been into Newbury today to Game and I got the most awful and old games EVER.....Counter Strike . I was getting very bored of playing UT2k4 and BFV all the time with a little Doom3 and CoD thrown in for fun sumwhere in the middle, so decided to see why eveyone loves this game so much. Still don't see it lol.

We have what is only known as the most sickly, disgusting, foul drink ever known to man here at the moment.....Blue Bolt Half the price of Red Bull and twice as strong with twice and not good for you things in it. YES!!!!!!! So far I've managed to finish off about 6 of them in the last 2 hours along and I think Arts had about 7, i know he's had 2 in the last 45min lol. I think we are all starting to feel the strain now, makes the challenge all that more fun!!!

I think when I say this has been possibly THE BEST LAN EVER. Full of laughs, shouts, whistles and most importantly, the best atmosphere ever. It's unbelievable to arrive one day and to talk to about 10 people you dont know in the first hour of being here about random stuff. It's brilliant!!
