so its been a few weeks now i been feeling like this, invested a fair chunk of money into something i thought i'd get use out of!

but now i haven't gamed in weeks! it barely even gets switched on now, just dont seem to have the time to game! :( something always seems to get in the way!

Same here for most of my builds really...

I do use the rig every day, but most of the time just for watching videos or browsing the internet, which could easily be done on an i3 with integrated graphics lol.

I'm starting to game a little more now, but certainly not to the extent of needing a 690 with triple screens...

Just a hobby I suppose, and it is always nice knowing that your PC is able to run absolutely anything you want it to.

im seriously considering breaking it down! Just strange how things work out, i was always playing stuff, then all of a sudden reality doesnt want you to have any alone time!

Maybe we just outgrow all of the things that we once loved.

I haven't played a proper game in over a month. I just don't feel like it anymore. Is this because you're not in the mood for gaming or literally because you're always busy. If it's the last one, maybe it's time to take some time for yourself?

I also can't remember why on earth I ever even spent €400,- on a GPU (That was the price of a 670 at the time).

im always in the mood for gaming just no time for myself, i work 6 days a week, minimum of 10 hours a day, i only get one day off a week being a Saturday, on that day its you know doing the chores, shopping, cleaning, hoovering, ironing and washing...then there's always something to do around the house, after its all said and done, bedtime ready for a 7am start Sunday

At least for you it's only time restraints.
I upgraded my rig put all watercooling in and it was all great for 2 months, then I started finding I was losing interest in gaming, now 18 months later I'm lucky if I play games for more than 3 hours a week. I've tried all types of games but nothing gets more then 10 or 20 minutes.
I'm at the point as long as this rig can browse the net it's not getting upgraded

i would say get some man cave time booked in kambo, you sound like you deserve it mate

I used to only really play with friends - just got boring gaming on my own as I've never really been that good at games, and for me it was just more of a sociable laugh with mates. That's why for me, xbox is actually more appealing than PC gaming (although I haven't played that since Christmas either).

Last summer, as pretty much all my mates were going to uni, we had a pretty big movement of people getting into PC gaming, as they wanted new computers for uni, and thought they may as well build/buy gaming PCs. But then when everyone got to uni, and suddenly got a lot of work to do they no longer had time, and so within about a week of starting, all the gaming stopped, and I haven't played properly since.

Slowly getting back into a bit though as more mates are gaming again over the summer.

i would put that down to the saturation of the game market mate, look for a really different game than you are used to an see if that gets the fires going again

if im honest mate after the year i had, i deserve 6 months in the Caribbean, ive got my birthday coming up, obviously had to book that day off, no one wants to work on there birthday, maybe ill finally get round to installing and playing Borderlands!

Trying to get time of work is like getting blood from a stone, because of the nature of my job, and my role at the company, my team heavily suffer if im not there, we've also taken on a another company as a client which will in the coming months increase the work load by 15-20%, doesn't sound like much but if i gave you the raw numbers you lot would shit bricks

I have tried that: Game dev tycoon, kerbal space program, the cave, got the expansion for civ 5 I have played civ since the first instalment but even that I can't get into. I think I have tried every type of game from FPS to RTS

You know all work and no play makes jack a dull boy, and isn't good for the body either

Sounds very similar to what it's like within the department I work in.

We are supposed to do 2 jobs each a week, but some of us are up to 6 jobs a week and having to do overtime just to be able to get jobs done, to avoid missing our targets for the year which would result in a lower or no bonus and pay rise.

I upgraded my rig and have been using it but not as much as I would have liked simply because of work, and also I am trying to loose weight so at the moment my pc is only being used for a hour or two each day.

Your almost just like me Kambo. I've started building my rig, and at first I was like lets make this a beast, Titan and everything now I feel like maybe I shouldn't of bothered.

I'm only building it for BF4, so that's expensive for that, even though so far I only have the case, i5 4670K and Gigabyte G1. Sniper M5. I was hoping to get back into PC's but when I reached 18 four years ago, I've barely touched games since. Well BF3 for a total of 50 hours.

Can't sell it now though, I'll make a mega loss so I'll just go on and finish the rig. Should of just bought a PS4 to last me eight years...

Just remember though just because you don't have time to devote to things now don't mean that you wont have time in the future to enjoy the fruits of your labour and it's not really as if it is gonna really be obsolete in a year

same here. i spend most of my time just browsing or watching some stream and the games i play run on a netbook. still i got a 770. idk why.
