Here is the videocard i'm buying:

It wont let me post links so can you guys just past them to newegg

the processor:

so it needs to be an lga 775.

I would like the board to be around 150 US dollars and if i could get a link from newegg that would be great.

if it can have 2 pcie 2.0 slots that would be great and also if possible have it not be a rainbow gigabyte board

I think either a P45 or X38/X48 board is a good bet for you. I'd go for either the X38 or X48 if you wanted Crossfire, if not the P45 would be adequate for just about anything you throw at it. Advantage is that those boards are going quite cheap now with the i7 being all the range and the Lynnfield on the way.

as for an X38 board, maybe something along the lines of:

X38/X48 is extras you dont need, go down the P45 route and you wont be disapointed, also ive been able too OC dual cores much easier on P45 for some reason.

the boards you should look out for in the p45 range is the p5q-e and the biostar TPower P45.

going P45 could save you a couple of dollars soo you can save for maybe a P55 step up later on? :yumyum:

Id get the P5Q-e tbh dude for reliabilty and back up if things do go wrong asus are great with RMA's. why do you want a 2nd PCIE-2 slot though?

Hello friends,

I read your thread. I think an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro would serve you better. It won't reach the record overclocks of the Nirvana or Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, but it's good, cheap, quiet, easy to install.I stay away from Gigabytes because the BIOS is not clearly labeled, or it has "propriatary" names for common features.
