this scene should be in a nerd comedy sketch.

i have some dumbells by my desk (for boredom purposes).
i was doing some reps earlier, and the doorbell rang... so i put the dumbells down quickly, and went to answer the door.

upon getting off the 'mastermind' chair, i forgot i had my headset on from playing a game earlier.

the headset was plugged into one of my iiyama monitors...

...which was speedily yanked off the desk.

upon turning quickly to try to save the monitor, i then tripped over one of the dumbells.....OUCH-SMASH-BANG-WALLOP

imagine me scrambled to not hurt myself... keyboard, mouse, discs, books and stationery all up in the air - followed by a huge yelp from me!

doorbell rings again - i answer it!

"Hello. I am just here to ask for donati....." - shuts door!

RIP monitor... KIA
RIP 'new' mouse... KIA
RIP keyboard... KIA
webcam + 1 monitor + rig... SURVIVED

and a bruised big toe. LOL :o

these are the days when you count yourself lucky that you have crappy standbyes for such an eventuality.

I love it when stuff like that happens... except when it kills hardware... then its just sad :(... but still, kinda funny...

OUCH!!! Dude that not only hurts the body but the mind and the bloody wallet not good and I can't seem to laugh it's just too painful for that, still at least you didn't seriously hurt yourself which quite easily could have happened, you can replace Pc parts but not body parts.....yet.

*plays Taps* while thinking I bet that was a hilarious site to see sorry for the loss of gear mate but like others have said at least ya wasnt seriously hurt.

because you shut the door early on someone asking for donations

i give via direct debit to 3 charities a month - £10 each.

I choose who I want to donate to - not those knocking on my door ;)

...as to the fact that i knew i was going to have to spend money replacing various broken PC parts... parting with more of my hard-earned cash was NOT at the top of my todo list :p

and look at it this way.... it was them knocking on my door that caused the breakages in the 1st place.......... i think the bad karma went the other way!

JSYK, I'm just explaining why miniq posted
Maybe if you donated more often karma wouldn't have been so nasty to you?

:D

None of my business who you do or do not donate to. :)

Nice to see you donating directly to the source dug's, I never trust them door to door beggars....

Why didn't you tell that guy at the door that you're a charity now as well? ...and you're accepting donations too ;)
