Hz gaming

Okay... I just opened up TechPowerUp GPU-Z 0.8.4 and it says GPU Core Clock 925.5 MHz, a constant and steady one.

It's been a bug in geforce drivers as long as i can remember. Running 144hz wont allow the card to run in 2D clocks for whatever reason, even if its on adaptive power mode.

Well at least i have this same issues since the time i got my first 144hz monitor, vg248qe & gtx780 and now ROG Swift & gtx980 both does it, once you drop to 120hz everything works fine.

What? Your GPU runs cooler when the monitor is running at a lower refresh rate? Doesn't make sense to me, but I could be missing something...

Actually it makes no difference to the GPU when going between 120 and 144. But it does make a huge difference to GPUs when you change refresh between 60 and 144. Especially if you have crossfire/SLI.

Take witcher 2 for example in 60hz my temps on both cards were 39C, when i unleash hell and let them work hard by allowing 120hz the temps jump to 55C
