Hyped-up games that left you disappointed

I'd have to say MW:2. I only play games competitively, so I only really care about the MP on most. This game was utter trash compared to CoD4, hence why I'm still banging out the CoD4 MP

On that note, I don't get why everyone thinks BOps was just a patch on MW2? MW2 was probably the most disgusting MP experience ever. Overpowered was basically the name of the game. BOps actually introduced skill back into the game, and some maps with actual balancing. Still no CoD4 MP killer though, that game will never die.

Oh, I just remembered one, It promised to be something huge! It was going to be the greatest thing you ever played in your life! It was SPORE! what a let down.

Kind of getting tired of the franchise, seems like the same game, just new maps.

Just like halo, Im totaly burned out on it, If they came out with a Brand New Halo tomorrow and I could get it for $10, I would not buy it, cuz I know I would not enjoy it.

I thought crysis 2 was good and considering its DX 9 they show other Dev its is still capable of and on a plus side because of that you dont need a 14 core super computer tog et over 40fps on it.

My only prob with it was that its single player was a bit short.

OFDR baddly over hyped and no support.

BFBC2 as it could have been much better after a year and they still haven't got ingame voip to work, hit reg is still woefull and lag!!

It is dissapointing though when it barely addresses 40% of each gpu - you'd think they'd release an expansion or update to stress things back to Warhead's levels - still waiting for DX11 - even WoW has DX11 now I just tested it out works very well and looks pretty good too

I honestly feel like they're just stupid people expecting the best from a game to push their systems to the limit of be innovative. Duke Nuke is girls and guns, and it definitely achieved that with Forever. It's a solid playthrough, it definitely brings back the nostalgia of running and gunning

Halo Wars - compare the pre-release gameplay footage to what actually got released. They practically lied to get pre-orders. Dumbing down the entire engine a few weeks before release and telling no one.

Mirror's Edge - Was expecting some freedom in the city, not just following a preset path.

Star Trek Online - Really expensive ship goes boom, never mind I'll re-spawn in a sec and carry on fighting. WTF?
