How u store u`r odds`n`ends ?

It`s one thing to order stuff for a pc, build it, then dispose of all the left-overs. I`m in admiration.

But if u service other people`s pcs, messabout with u`r own, try things, adapt stuff - u need to store cables, pci/slot cards, fans, harddrives, optical units, plates, screws, ............. ugh!

Anywho, I`ve gotten better over the last year or so, I periodically go through stuff and simply bin it (if it`s binned - no1 would want it even at postage cost).

Right now I use some boxes (older ones), shoe boxes, and so on. Lots of stuff in orginal boxes where I can.

Any1 use something that`s vaguely "for the job" or they`ve adapted - nice`n`tidy - shelfing or whatever ?

Or u got something that`s more half-assed than what I got lol

My stuff is under the bed, in the basement and at my girlfriends house, so not very organised. I actually found a really old 8x ide DVD writer under my bed yesterday lol

I store everything I think is worth keeping :)

I have a cupboard full of pc spares. A while ago I threw out a lot of stuff tho.

lots and lots of boxes piled next to me, but there isnt really much worth anything, if i dont plan on using something i sell it or give it away

i use the boxes that comes with the parts that i bought to store stuff.

and i have a plastic bag with that thing where it seals with when you press it.....to keep small screws, big screws, etc etc in different bags.

at the moment, i have 3 box of bits and bobs, 1 for WC stuff, 1 for screws, 1 for spare fans.

then 3 draws, 1 for power cord, 1 for HDD, SATA, or any cables that i might need inside the comp, and 1 for software, DVD, INK etc etc.

but a month ago i binned the following :-

alphacool CPU block

EK intel chipset block

alphacool 6800-7900 GFX block

alphacool bay res

akasa FC-03 fan controller

akasa all-in-one fan controller and card reader

its in a land fill site now.

i had to choose from a BIG BOX of parts that i can want to keep.....and the list i posted is the parts that i no longer needed.

after i dumped the box of bits, i had the joy of being able to WALK to my bed and not JUMP over a box onto my bed....

so i guess that pays off eh:D

lol

all my stuff is in my attic and in the main house attic. a few bits and bobs in pots and stuff in my bedroom but other than that, all pretty well kept. only i always lose my windows disk when i need it ><

I have loads of PC boxes in case of RMA and to send things off in that I sell, I also have boxes with jiffy bags in and boxes with parts and wires in

i am a whore for boxes

i keep all my boxes and store stuff in boxes+bags and some stuff in cupboards

Yea I am too. In my garage are all my boxes except my motherboard box, which is under my bed for convenient access. In my garage I have my case box, which has my GFX box, PSU box, ram package, BT box, Vf900 box, golden orb box, ans all my random stuff :D

I have everything scatterd. Some at my best friends house, some in PC boxes, others in regular cardboard boxes. Just regular crap. And Kemp wouldnt it hurt to hold cables in your "draws"?
