How powerful an Nvida Card for me

I'm in the process of putting together a new PC. I'll reuse my monitor for sure. It's a 27 inch Asus LED, which is 1080p resolution(1920x1080). In my current PC I drive it with a GTX 260. Beyond general use, my main uses are some 3D development using blender, maya and the like, some photoshop, and Second Life (which likes Nvidia more than ATI and is openGL (Unlike games, Second Life has user generated content).

Given a native resolution of 1920x1080, what is the point of diminishing returns for me in terms of graphics cards?

Minimum I'd go with is a 560Ti. A 570 would be a good choice as well.

Hmm, Hmmblah, that is the direction I was thinking, thanks. Anything less than the 560Ti would be a minimal improvement, and I'm not sure even the 560Ti would give enough benefit over the GTX 260 to be worth it.

Frames wise it will be a bit, its a couple gen newer card, Less kinks. Updated drivers for newer things. Just a newer product that will smoothin things out for you.
