How often do you open up the case to clean

I was wandering if anyone here does regular cleaning of the cases internals. If so how often? Personally I only do it I happen to replace something and find the case dusty or on odd occasion when my old computer keeps shutting down to over-heating.

I use a regular vacuum to clean the inside.

I try to do it once every month or two using an air compressor. Which reminds me, I'm due for a cleaning.

Same as dug. I just use a cloth to wipe the dust on the inside and at the back where the cables are. I wash the filters on my case every week as they get dusty due to the PC being on 24/7 both for folding and gaming. I've only had my rig for about 7 months and I used a can of compressed air to clean the dust off the components after 4 months. It's due a compressed air clean in a Month.

Every 1-2 weeks I clean my fan filters and every so often just vacuum the inside and give outside a good wipe

I've heard it's not a good idea to vacuum the inside because of static discharge.

i just use a very old fluffy make-up brush that i stole acquired from an ex-GF. it just grips the dust brilliantly

Some people state that it can damage the components and others state that it doesn't do any damage at all.

I clean mine about once a month. I suck the dust out of my filters with a vacuum and give my components a quick dusting. Pretty much no dust gets into my rig due to the filters anyway so my components are relatively dust free.

I normally give it a wipe down every month or so. Then again last year the room I was in was a dust trap and if I knocked the radiator I would be coughing for five minutes.

every week or so i wipe the filters and inside every month or so unless i am in it swapping parts out as it gets a quick brush then too.

half inch paint brush gets in most places that dust like to hide
