How many 3 pin fans on a DS3 ?

Right, after the horrendous amount of time I've spent trying to connect about 20 fans, a pump, 2 LEDs and numerous other things to about three 4 pin molexs I've decided to swap out some of the 4 pin fans for 3 pin fans.

Im going to go for the Arctic Cooling AF12025 fan.

I wanna put 6 of these on my motherboard, with the use of three headers and three 3 pin splitters. Any adverse effects if I put that many fans on a mobo ? I read somewhere just now that older motherboards cant handle some 3 pin fans due to amps/wattage and what not and was just wondering of 6 of those Arctic Cooling fans would work on my trusty DS3.

Each fan uses 0.15A, that means 0.3A per header, thats alright isn't it ?

I would stick with molex strings mate. Ive got the P180b and i run 5 fans and a pump. 2 tricools and the DDC off one string, then the two alphacool fans off another. Then a very quiet, very week 80mm off the chipset fan header.

Get/make some extensions and you can just plug in the stings in the lower 1/2 the case. I wouldn't recommend running them all off the mobo headers atall.

:( oh alright. Cba for all the cables at the back of my case though, I'll delight you all with a pic later today :)
