how do you cool a power unit?

if you mean a psu then they have fans blowing in and out. the intake fans are inside your system and the exhaust fans are on the outside. the psu also acts to cool the rest nof your system as it is at the top and hot air rises. it is an important part of pc cooling.

wow kemperz, u are getting a bit rep hungry these days arent u. certainly working your way up in the ranks

And don't forget that mosts really good PSU's have hefty heatsinks inside them that dissapate heat as well!!

often the mark of a good quality PSU is its weight <heavier better heatsinks so more stable rails>; psu actually suck in warm, air heated by the processor so if u have watercooling ur psu will perform signifigantly better than those with air cooling (less heat less resistance better rails)

also alot of the more expensive PSU have automatic heat detectors that when they get hotter the fans work faster automatically
