I think I told of getting dental work done early Sept, taking a few years to pay for it. Once that was done I got a BI-V pacemaker put in early Oct, the one I got in 2011 had a bad lead and I'm 100% dependent now. The pacemaker dies, I'm gone. They shut me off a couple beats during surgery to test that. This one is fancier, an extra lead. The old one went to one my right ventricle to fire the right and left. This one has a lead to the right and left. Supposed to work better.
All was fine until the 21st. Went to the ER with back pain and severe acid stomach. All sorts of tests and my troponin level was okay. They gave me a pain med to kill the back pain. The next morning back pain woke me, worse this time. I have nitro but never took it before. I took one, it helped very little. I went to the ER again. My troponin level was up. To sprays of nitro and 4 baby asprin helped a bit with the pain. My cardiologist wanted me transferred up to the north hospital 26 miles away. I got a rough ambulance ride. Up there my troponin levels climbed higher. The 23rd I went into surgery, a angiogram going through my wrist on my right arm. I was awake the whole time. I watch the large screen monitor to see what he was doing in my heart. There was a 100% blockage in my Circumflex Artery, so he installed a stent. My original stents in my Right Coronary Artery were just a tad dirty so he ballooned them to clear them. I got home 10:00 am Thanksgiving Day. My sis took my mom to mom's church for Thanksgiving dinner. I was too tired, they brought home a meal for me. I feel pretty good compared to past heart surgeries.
Strange thing came to mind. In 2011 I got my first pacemaker due to my rate dropping to 30. A month later I was having a heart attack and got my first stents. This year that pacemaker flaked out, worked but showed outside interference at times, it was the bad lead. About a month and a half later I'm having a heart attack and more blockages found. A coincidence is what I'm being told. Get a pacer, have a heart attack.
Here I am after surgery and after my hottie nurse had to check my shaved groin area, I was breaking out. The plan was to go through my wrist as they did, but they shave the groin area incase there is something wrong and they enter down there. That is how they did it before on me. She powdered me with Nystatin powder. Little Fred was quite happy. ;-)
