Hi all i am looking at building a home server to run a ts3 server from mainly with the advantages of upgrading it in the future if needed

If anyone could help me out with that is best to put in it :)

Have you considered the HP Microservers? With rebate it works out about £100 and for that you get a 2GB RAM system (can take up-to 8GB or 16GB I forget which) that can hold 5 hard drives (4 of which are hotswappable).

It's affordable, semi-upgradable, quiet and small. Most importantly it's x86 and will run any normal Windows or Linux software.

Here is a link, make sure you read the information about the rebate carefully. http://www.ebuyer.com/430446-proliant-microserver-turion-2-2-2gb-250gb-nhpl-sata-lff-in-704941-421
