High Temps?

Hi folks

I have a small problem that I was wondering if you guys mite be able to help me with. I recently built the below PC as per my sig but was wondering if the cpu cooler I am using is working correctly.

I currently am running at 3.8ghz (19x200) with the cpu at 1.5v but the temps I am getting with the Xigamatech HDT S1283 are not much different than I was getting with the stock amd cooler (idle:51c/load:68c).

My question is this, would I be better off replacing the stock Xigamatech fan that came with the cooler, and if so what fans would ppl suggest for performance/noise?

The case im using should have plenty of airflow as I spent a week doing the cable management properly and I am also in the UK so ambient temps shouldnt be a problem.

Also I have found conflicting articles on how you should apply thermal paste, as this could also make a difference to the temps.

Many thanks for your time

whats the airtemp in the room like matey?

also make sure you have applied the tim (MX2 /AS5 ect) properly and the cooler is mounted properly.

Take a pic of your rig as confused airflow can also be a big problem.

Hi TTL,

And thanks for the addy on your youtube channel :)

Ambient temp isnt above 25c as the weather has been ****ters in England, I will take a photo of my rig this weekend and post it but all the cabling is behind the mobo tray and its pretty tidy (thanks TJ Harlow!)

Im not sure if I might have put too much AS5 on, I used a spot about the size of a pea as I heard that was best with HDT coolers as it filled the spaces better!

Im sure it must be seated properly as I checked by giving it a quick wobble after installing it and it was solid.

Do my temps seem high?, wasnt sure if they are high for a 600mhz overeclock on air or not.

Many thanks for your time :)

if you want to replace the fan (although you shouldent have to) then the noctua fans are awsome and the synthe and thermalright fans are good to
