My system spec is
Amd 5200+ 2.6ghz (windsor)
Asus M2N-E Motherboard
2gb Ram
Stock cpu cooler
Earlier my idle temps where 45~46 degree C when idle and 57~58C under load( when playing games),Bios version at that time was 1001.
Room tem = 29c
Cabinet temp = 34c
Motherboard temp = 42
CPU fan rpm at idle = 2500
Cpu fan profile "optimal"
Today i updated the BIOS to ver 1601,everything went fine but i noticed that temperature have gone up, even at idle its showing 56c!! and the cpu fan rpm at idle has reached 4500rpm.Cpu fan profile at bios is "optimal". Since the temps are high i am not playing any games and i can hear the cpu even at idle which irritates me,Before Bios update i can only hear cpu fan when at full load.
Reason that i updated BIOS is becoz i cudnt read the HDD SMART data in vista 32bit,I have both Win xp 32 and vista both r showing high idle temps after BIOS update. Programs that i used to measure temps are Speed fan,Everest,Core Temp.
pls reply.....
