Hi just introducing myself

38 year old average techy from Adelaide, South Australia

decided to become a member after watching some YouTube reviews on the OC3D channel

I've been using computers/consoles since the days of the Atari

my first PC's were technically a Vic20 and Commodore 64 followed by an Amiga 500 and 1200 which were the bomb, best systems to date IMHO well ahead of there time.

I bought an AMD K6-500 (i think it was) in my teens and stuck with AMD for a long while. Have since moved onto Intel as i just feel AMD has lost it's way along time ago and where i live Intel parts are easier to get. same with Video cards, swap back and forth between Nvidia and ATI mostly Nvidia until recently.

anyway to cut a long story short i've mostly used Gigabyte parts over the years but am getting burned out on regular hardware being broken on arrival or not supporting what it sais it does and the shoddy website that are slower then dialup when u need it, lastly the that horrible BIOS look that never changes.

Currently running a fairly decent system for someone who's not hardcore but the CPU or mobo's having issues somewhere along the way so will be building another system for primary use while i have the money

Time for a change.... Asus/I7 2500k or 2600k will be getting a try out in my current build.

Cheers from Australia and will see ya all in the forums

Interesting to note they are re/-releasing the Commodore range.

Same cases, newer hardware using either Linux or the revamped AmigaOS,

It's a company that is using the Commodore and Amiga name but isn't the original company as far as i can tell

Commodore lives again

I'll stop spamming this thread now, cheers guys will be posting questions soon enough just got some new hardware today.
