Helloo!

Eh I thought I'd introduce myself...I'm still pretty new when it comes to PC building but I find it really interesting and I can finally afford to do some upgrading to my laughably old rig that is now struggling to keep up with me trying to make 3D game art. I'm getting my first ever unlocked cpu tomorrow (8600k) and I've got my shiny new mobo and ram at the ready. I'm really excited to get it up and running and finally try messing around with overclocking :)

I also really wanted to ask a question...is it okay to ask a quick question in this intro thread bit??

...if so...I asked for thermal paste at a shop near my work a while back and didn't really look at it until now...its Chill Factor III by Thermalright (supposedly) but the packaging doesn't look like what Amazon sells and there's loads of spelling errors on the back of the packet, like it says "Aqueeze" out a line of CF III and make "suru" the compound is equally spread...It's put me off using it on my new processor so I was wondering if anyone here has used it and reckons it's probably fine? (saves me having to go get something more reputable looking this weekend :p )

Welcome to the OC3D forums, You can ask questions here that's OK.

Could just be badly translated packaging I've seen worse from China  if you are concerned still have a look at MX5 or Noctua NTH1 Pastes.

Thanks! :)

Ah yeah I guess bad translations happen more than I think...today in work we found out that our advert with the line 'Don't be a square' was translated into Dutch and then meant something along the lines of 'don't be a (insert derogatory term to lady bits beginning with C)' :P and this was apparently on a family friendly store page...

Welcome to the forums fella! Hope you'll enjoy it here.

Oh, and as a Dutch person myself, I can safely say that 'Don't be a square' shouldn't translate into anything even remotely offensive (or at least as far as I am aware). So I wouldn't worry about it too much :)
