Hey buddies. Help please?

Just an FYI for you, I have been running OCZ Vertex4 256GB SSDs in my Alienware M17x-R4 laptop (which I use for gaming as well as general Internet use) for the past 8 months without issue. Am also running other Vertex4 SSDs in other machines also without problems for the last year or so.

Hey mate thanks for your reply. Yes unfortunately i was the unlucky one with all my OCZ drives........my brother also havent had any problems with his OCZ drives.

I was also unlucky with OCZ

These are the original 240gb drives, they all failed, I RMAed one and that failed too.

After giving me a great deal of problems, it gave me the greatest of pleasure to chuck the whole lot in the bin.

OCZ did offer to RMA all of them but I got far more customer satisfaction by dumping them in the bin.:)

Anycase my friends i have some great news.......

I closed my eyes, crossed my fingers and bought me a brand new Samsung 840 Pro 256gb SSD from a different company.. I have a friend who needs computers parts so my supplier will give me a credit for the OCZ drive the i will order the parts for my friend then he can give me the cash. So everything works out well at the end.....

Believe it or not. The power is down this side so I cant use my pc tonight lol........as i stated earlier i am born to have bad luck. But hopefully the weather is better tomorrow and i can be a proudly new SSD owner........

I will keep everyone posted with all benchmark results if all programs are set up and running well

My mum and most of my family are. I love Cape Town especially when it's party time. Just compare the booze prices in England and South Africa.:D

Finally my pc is up and running again with my new Samsund 840 Pro 256gb SSD......She is running like never before. Smiling from ear to ear :). Here are the results of both drives bench tested (The OCZ 128gb was tested on first day of install and crashed 1 week later lol)...........

Score is quite a bit difference but not an insane amount... I'm assuming the main difference is now in stability?

Well.....if you take the ratings on the drive theoretically according to their company specs they should have the same read and right speeds more or less. And what a bad shame it is for OCZ selling SSD's and this is a brand new SSD tested by me the first day of install........

Stability is INSANELY better!!! I did a quick Intelburn Test on "Very High" and manage to get 128 Gflops stable as well. I have never had my rig so stable before. Thanks for everyone's advise on this forum.........:)
