Help! :(

Finally got the rest of my computer through today. I ordered an XFX nForce 680i for £80 off amazon. When it came it was a 780i (bonus!) Got an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme GTX280 cooler and what not. Fitted it all together just now thinking brilliant, this is gonna be awesome, and nothing happens. It seems to start up (all the fans run and I think the harddrives spin) but then it does nothing and after about 5 secnods just beebs at me. Its sort of one continuous beep like doooooododo, with two audible little beeps at the end. Need help diagnosing this problem quick as I will need to re-install windows and I'm moving in a couple days! :/

A quick google tells me it is a video BIOS problem.

Check your graphics cards mate.

And if you can, try moving the graphics card to the top most pci-e x16 slot.

Yeah thats what I got, just wanted to make sure. If it still doesnt work I will report back tomorrow. I have plenty of other graphics cards to use so it shouldnt be a problem.

Just double check the power feeds to the CPU are fully inserted, I have a gtx280ocx and I didn't connect both pci-e supplies basically did exactly the same thing as you are describing.

Check the card is fully inserted and locked in, does yours have two LEDs on the gpu? If so check they are green not red.

Sounds like a power issue to me.
